Red packets
Happy Chinese New Year to Everyone!!!
Wish everyone a prosperous New Year in 2009!
Seriously, I am freaking lame now... I don't know why.
I cannot believe my parents actually gave me $4 when they told me to get my red packet.
I didn't open the red packet first, but when I opened the red packet in my room, I went, "OMG!"
Seriously.
$300 in 2008.
$4 in 2009.
Yeah, I know all about the recession, but isn't this going too far?
It's like a, $296 difference.
Then I went to their room and went, "What? $4? Is this a joke or what?"
I know I was plain mean and rude and impolite or whatever.
But I was depending on CNY red packets to buy a violin.
I am so desperate for a violin.
Then, my brother came into my room and said, "Mum said this is yours."
I opened it, and okay, still lesser than last year, but at least just enough for a violin.
And even after I buy a violin, I still have $90 to save on buying a handphone...
And besides, I still have other people's red packet to collect.
Overall, this year wasn't very bad...
