Science Centre
Haha! I'm freaking high now! Cause we went to Science Centre for excursion today~ I hope next time have more excursions like this! Very fun, to me, because.. have air-con. Chinatown no air-con to cool us down after we run, lols. I shall start from this morning! I set my alarm to ring at 6am, but... since last night I played until midnight with my brother and the new bakery set, I continued to sleep until very late. Luckily, my father was preparing to go for work at 7am and he noticed that I was still sleeping, so he woke me up, lols. If not, I would not have gone for the excursion today, haha. I was like rushing and didn't even eat my breakfast and was chasing my dad to drive me to school. Then, I arrived at 7.15am, and saw Valarie getting out of her car and walking to find the class. I ran after her and caught up, then we were walking to the quadrangle, but I noticed that the class seems to have some people, so she looked too and she saw that the lights were on, so we went to the class straight.
Very little people were inside, and many have not come yet, so I just sat down and waited until 7.30am, then we lined up and waited for the bus with 1B. Then 1B took the first bus while our class took the second bus. I sat with Yan Yi, and she's really very funny, and she was listening to the radio using my handphone, the "Jia 88.3" radio station, lols. Then when we were at the place where there were canopy and alot of trees, we lost reception, so we listened to the songs available in my handphone instead. We were like flustered, when Ms Leow walked past us and she was kinda suspicious, then she said "I smell something fishy around here." Then Jing Yi was like "No fish, cause here don't have any water", she also scared, as she was also listening on her phone, haha~ We took a very long time to reach there due to a jam, and the bus driver didn't turn to another road lane until we shouted for him to turn.
We finally reached and I still can see the dinosaur that is always outside. Last year, it was there, and now, it still is. Same old actions though, swing the tail, move the body up and down, and "groaw!". Lols, that's all it can do. Then we went to the... I think it's the fourth level, and we went into some lab and watched slides that teach us about alternative fuels and Hydrogen gas. Then we did 2 experiments, one is with the "U-tube" and electrodes and universal pH indicator, and the other is using a glowing splint to check for hydrogen gas. Then we did some worksheets, survey and we went out to the theatre at level one. We sat down, and 2 person working in the Science Centre showed us some interesting stuff. Like how acid water is formed, by using water with dyes and dried ice. I learnt that dried ice is actually made from carbon dioxide, so cool huh? Haha, I didn't know that beforehand. Er, then the guy inserted hydrogen gas from a tank into a soap solution, and bubbles filled with hydrogen started to appear. He then scoop the bubbles up and the bubbles flew up, then the lady used a small fire to touch the hydrogen bubble, and the bubbles became a floating fire before disappearing, so cool! Then, he put some ethanol into the tank and shook it hard, then the lady use a small fire to put into the tank, causing the tank to burn inside and there was a flame in the tank. After that, the audience requested that they do it again, but due to some difficulties, the tank won't light up, lols.
After the show, they gave us some booklets to let us complete for the amazing race. I grouped up with Yan Yi, Soo Peng and Ning Zhen, and we ran about to do it, but we didn't get first. But... we got a pen, lols. I saw this fake-model einstein climbing up and down a rope in the middle of Science Centre, haha! Then we went downstairs, and Yan Yi went with me to one of the gallery near the Eco-Garden and we looked around at the exhibits, then she went to Macdonalds as I wanted to go to the Eco-lab. There are live chicks inside that room and it just hatched today! The feathers are still damp, and some couldn't stand up, so cute lurhs! I looked around, then went back to join Xi Wen, Meng Qing and Cindy. They went to Macdonalds while I shopped at the souvenir shop "Curiousity". I bought a mood ring, and many food and a can of drink. Uh, then I went to join the rest and we got onto the bus and went back to school. We took a shorter time to go back to school, I think it's because the second bus driver knows a short cut, haha.
Then... went back to class, and I went to 7-11 with Lippy and Jia Wen at the last 10 minutes. We were waiting for the traffic light when some seniors kicked their soccer balls from the field to the road! Pro right? LOLS. Then a car ran over it but it didn't ran over it with the wheels. I then picked up the ball and threw it into the fitness corner, since I couldn't throw it into the field, lols. Then I ran to Lippy and Jia Wen and went to 7-11. I bought a slurpee, 3 lollipops and a capsule containing the characters of Little Miss & Mr Men. We ran back to class as class was about to start and I gave Lippy one strawberry lollipop, and gave Yan Yi one orange lollipop, and I kept the coca-cola one. I opened the red capsule and inside was 'Mr Small' and 'Mr Happy', both very cute! Ms Leow then came in and we started lessons, I was boring out.... Then Ning Zhen was emo. But after that, she became high and poke fun at me, but I became emo so I didn't bother, lols. Then... I was standing up and I stepped onto my slurpee! All spilled out onto the floor and I used 4 packets of tissue to clean it all up... Luckily, Ms Leow didn't find out, or I would have died on the spot. Uh, then we went to 7-11 again since we were the first group to finish our Science Project and we still had time, and I bought another slurpee and another capsule. We went back to class and I opened it, and I got 'Little Miss Sunshine'! But I got 'Mr Small' again, so I gave it to Ning Zhen since she liked it. And she became dramatic, and was like "Oh my god! You bought it for me! I love you!" I was like "Um... ok..." Then we went to the canteen and passed Cindy her Slurpee. Then this lady from the filming cast came up to us and asked if we were interested in filming, but we quickly declined and ran away. Chi Ling then came and we pushed her to sign up (she wants) and then she signed up, and I went home with them too. Ugh. Still pissed off that Chi Ling took Marlene and Cindy away from me. Haiz.
