String practise
Today, my dad had to leave at the last minute for work, so I had to go to school myself. I was late, but Chi Ling had Pei Ying's company so it's okay, I think. Then we went up to the string room and sat down, then Chi Ling taught me a new tune and she also played my viola, haha. Then Jing Ru senior opened the door, she's early today, so we no need to suffer outside, it was very humid. Long live Jing Ru senior! Haha, then we went in and sat down. Then we took out our violas/violins and we sat down randomly on the chairs.
The seniors were all chased out to practise in the IT room, so sad. Then Mr Wong taught the violinist, then he tuned our violas before he told us to play for him some tunes. Samantha and I can do it pretty well since we came for practise yesterday and we played those tunes before, but Priscilla had some difficulty since she did not them before. Then Mr Wong told her to solo and play the tunes herself, and according to Jarron, she turned chalky pale, lols. I couldn't see her face cause I was sitting 2 seats away from her. Anyway, bless her, Mr Wong took the viola beginner book and told us what to practise, and we took 2 stands and went out to practise. We were very diligently practising, and we became quite good at the tunes and I could even memorise the notes after we played so many times. Then the violinist came out, and we practised together. After we finish practising the 2 pages, we slacked for awhile and I played "lightly row" and "Twinkle Twinkle little Star" on the viola and violin. Then we chatted and Jarron and Samantha was like gossiping about someone to us, and mimicking that person, then the rest of us were like laughing like crap.
At about 11.30am, the seniors all came out from the IT room and they went into the String room for full orchestra practise to play "Frippery number 2" and "Dance of Iscariot" together. Then the seniors were looking at us as if we are so naughty, chatting instead of practising, but hello? Have they seen us practising hard just now? And I don't believe that they never slacked a teeny bit, lols, oops. Chi Ling went in to play the pieces with them. Then Jarron was like telling everyone the "Frippery number 2" sounds like the "My little Pony" song and he was singing it, and everyone was laughing along. Then at 11.40am, after someone daringly asked Mr Wong if the juniors can leave, we all went in and packed our instruments and stuff. We were released at 10.45am yesterday, so many of them were complaining why we still couldn't leave. Many of them went home, while I stayed back to listen. My heart always feels the "pang!" when I see Chi Ling performing with them, I don't mean she's not good enough or anything, I'm just disgruntled that I can't play with them. Even when Teng Da senior told me to just grab a chair and join the orchestra, I just couldn't. It's like so.. 厚脸皮 of me to join when I haven't even learn finish the basics. So I just quietly sit behind and listen to them play.
Today's the last time I'm going to stay back and listen to the orchestra play. I don't care anymore. Well... I know the fact that I will join the orchestra sooner or later, but I just... want to join now, because I want to learn "Dance Of Iscariot". It's really nice and mysterious, even CHOIR members and WO members likes it. So now you get how nice it is right? Anyway, it's my current blog song, the first song played when you visit my blog. So... yea. I'm not wanting to join cause I want to perform, I'm wanting to join cause I want "Dance Of Iscariot" to be the first official song I learn AND perform. Is that so hard?
Anyway, thanks to Beatrice Wee. She told me that instruments with lower pitch have easier parts to play in orchestras. So means cello and double bass are easier, so... secondary ones can play with them, I'm deeply comforted by this fact, lols. But it can't change the fact that I want to play that piece. Anyway, I'm going to change blogskin soon, either to a emo or bright one. I really want to change to a black one, but I can't find a really nice one so... yea. Today's the last string practise until next next week. For once, I'm happy that there's no String Practise, so I won't feel so disgruntled and miserable when I see her playing with the orchestra. I know... I'm very mean, but really, I just... feel so sad that I can do anything. I kinda dislike NCSO now. For now only. I'm so going to join the orchestra a.s.a.p, so I'm going to work extra hard. I don't believe that I can't beat Chi Ling and join the orchestra. I will work extra hard. I will practise every single day starting from Sunday. I'm busy tomorrow, some Mindchamp course that cost me $5000. That's all for now. Bye. I will continue to grieve and ponder why I can't join. Why? Anyone tell me why.
